I have implemented an annual employee review of the workplace survey that is filled out and returned during review time. Once I have the surveys I tally the numerical responses and compile the comments. I then present an overview of what information I have gathered and what steps will be taken in the upcoming year at the next all staff meeting.
Because we have so many part time staff who do not qualify for FMLA we created a policy for them that mimics FMLA in many ways, but allows for some flexibility. We realize that like full time staff, part time staff have life situations that arise that may require more time off than a sick or vacation day can accomplish.
