With the Digital Equity Plan comment period ending today, RAILS, along with CARLI and IHLS, has submitted public comments representing the statewide library perspective to the Illinois Office of Broadband. This open letter outlines several recommendations for further strengthening the draft Digital Equity Plan.
Library workers are also encouraged to submit feedback on the draft Illinois State Digital Equity Plan via the public comments form by the end of business day on Wednesday, January 31. You are welcome to reference or copy any of the open letter when submitting your own comments.
