The Morton Grove Public Library kicked off the new year with a luminaria display. Over 125 lanterns lit the path and stairs leading to the library’s main entrance. The lanterns were decorated by patrons with their wishes for the new year. Patrons of all ages came to view the display and were treated to cookies and cocoa to help keep warm while they looked at the lantern designs and searched for their own.
“This is the third year that the library has hosted this event. We have received a lot of positive feedback from our patrons. They enjoy this unique opportunity to connect with others in the community, ” says Adult and Teen Services Manager Melissa Mayberry. Here’s to a wonderful 2024!
