Recent research demonstrates that students need ways to connect information literacy skills learned in the classroom with their daily use of information. This webinar overviews how information literacy skills that we teach to students in the classroom can be applied to our everyday lives interacting with the internet, with special attention given to algorithms and the practices of surveillance capitalism.
