The Business Manager handles financial accounting, accounts payable, payroll, human resources, and other business office responsibilities. In this role, you must be highly accurate, well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to safeguard confidential information.
Responsibilities include:
• Bank reconciliations, journal entries, invoice entry, check generation, financial reports
• Payroll processing and benefits administration
• Processing and tracking donations
• Creating and maintaining personnel records
• On-boarding and off-boarding employees
• Acts as IMRF liaison with the Village, preparing forms and uploading files
• Prepares and organizes documents for the annual audit
• Prepares and submits annual Treasurer’s Report
• Prepares Library Board meeting agendas and Board packets
• Works closely with the administrative team
Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution required
• Three or more years of applicable experience required
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles required
• Proficiency in financial software required; prior experience with Sage accounting software preferred
• Prior experience with Paylocity payroll software preferred
• Knowledge of principles of human resources preferred
Salary Range: A range of $25.30 to $32.00 per hour; offers made within this range are based on competencies, experience, and internal pay equity
