We are parting ways with this well-loved Curious George costume. A crafty seamstress may be able to give him new life. This item will have to be picked up and cannot be shipped through RAILS boxes. George's head is too big for the RAILS box. I spoke with Robert at RAILS who confirmed that we cannot ship this costume through RAILS.
Here’s a list of his known ailments:
- The zipper on the body is broken. Its my opinion that this zipper needs to be replaced, but I know little to nothing about such things.
- It appears that the material inside the head may have once been glued to the Styrofoam base and needs to again be glued down. Currently, it’s very hard to see through the eye holes since the material inside the head has broken free from of the Styrofoam.
- There are a couple dirty spots and one “splotch” on George’s face.
- This zipper on George’s shirt works, but the zipper pull is missing. You might want to replace that.
- George’s feet have taken a beating. It appears that we repaired them once using a pair of jeans. That may need to happen again.

We made the mistake of lending our costumes out to area organizations, schools, etc. where they were not properly cared for. Poor George was once returned without a tail!
