RAILS is happy to announce that Chicago Public Library joined Explore More Illinois, RAILS’ online cultural and recreational pass program, on June 5, 2023. This will transform Explore More Illinois into a true statewide cultural and recreational pass program, as the program will be available to all Illinois public libraries.
Most existing Explore More Illinois offers will be extended to Chicago residents. Chicago Public Library will bring attractions from their current museum pass program to Explore More Illinois, and most offers will be made available to RAILS/IHLS member library patrons:
- Chicago Academy of Sciences Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum
- DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center
- McCormick Bridgehouse and Chicago River Museum
- Lincoln Park Zoo
- Museum of Contemporary Art
- National Museum of Mexican Art
- National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture
