Acquisitions Coordinator

Are you organized, adaptable, and interested in supporting the behind-the-scenes work that gets library materials into the hands of the community? The Library’s innovative Materials Management department is looking for a Acquisitions Coordinator to join our collaborative team.

This opportunity comes at an important moment for the department. Along with supporting the day-to-day work of acquisitions, this role will help the team navigate changes in materials vendors and explore new options by assisting with updated ordering workflows, new vendor relationships, and documentation that will guide our work moving forward.

What you might do in a typical day:

  • Process orders for new and replacement materials with vendor and in ILS
  • Coordinate with selectors and vendors
  • Assist with materials processing and physical preparation
  • Assist with new vendor accounts setup and processes
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned
  • Provide backup support for other Materials Management tasks

We are looking for candidates with:

  • LTA or Associate degree in a relevant field such as accounting or finance 
  • OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience in technical services, administration, vendor management or bookkeeping; preferably in a library or other local government
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records

This is a part-time, 19 hours per week position. Pay & benefits include:: 

  • Hourly rate of $17.63 - 18.73
