Free Screening of Free For All: The Public Library at Bellwood Public Library

Ideas floating from an open book

Join us at Bellwood Public Library on Tuesday, April 29 at 6:30pm for a screening of Free For All: The Public Library, a new documentary from PBS Books by Dawn Logsdon and Lucie Faulknor. Premiering on PBS’s Independent Lens, Free For All: The Public Library tells the story of the quiet revolutionaries who made a simple idea happen. This engaging event will be led by Bellwood Library Director and PBS Books Readers Club Co-Host Heather-Marie Montilla, who also interviewed the filmmakers; you’ll gain behind-the-scenes insights into this incredible film at a moment when we are contemplating the importance of libraries in society. Expect fresh popcorn, drinks, and a thought-provoking discussion. This event is made possible through the support of WTTW and ITVS. Free For All: The Public Library will premiere on WTTW on April 29 at 9pm.
