Illinois School Library Workers Symposium

The archived videos from the Illinois School Library Workers Symposium (ISLWS) are now available from the RAILS YouTube channel.

The videos were originally recorded at the first-ever ISLWS event on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. This event is designed for individuals who are working in school libraries with no formal library education, certified or non-certified, paraprofessionals, and those considering getting a school library endorsement.

This one-day online training event was co-hosted by the following organizations:

  • Association of Illinois School Library Educators (AISLE)
  • Illinois Library Association (ILA)
  • Illinois Heartland Library System (IHLS)
  • Illinois State Library (ISL)
  • Reaching Across Illinois Library System (RAILS)

This series of videos will help Illinois school library workers who are looking for more support or training in their library work. PDH credits are not available for watching archived webinars.

Each video is captioned. Most videos are between 25-30 minutes in length. The final keynote session, Leadership in School Libraries includes a recorded Q&A portion at the end.

Thank you to Ola Gronski, RAILS Digital Marketing & Communications Specialist for editing and captioning this series.
