Library Administrative Assistant Networking Group

The Library Administrative Assistant Networking Group, LAANG, is a virtual networking group open to all administrative professionals in Illinois public Libraries, including administrative assistants, executive assistants, business managers, office managers, and HR professionals. This informal group meets four times a year and covers topics related to board meetings, procedures, continuing education, resources, technology, best practices, and networking with other administrative professionals. Each meeting includes an open forum for group discussion. Established in 2023, the membership increased to 88+ members in 2025. The group has access to a very active member-only listserv.
