LACONI’s Programs, Outreach, and Promotion section is looking for new board representatives. This section provides information, inspiration, and connection for library staff who have responsibilities in programming, outreach, marketing, community engagement, and strategic partnerships. We offer programs for professional development 4-6 times a year. The board is comprised of staff members from a variety of libraries in the Chicagoland area. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth of the library profession as well as enhance your own network by collaborating with dedicated library professionals.
All board members are asked to help plan at least 1-2 programs per year and attend up to 6 meetings annually (most of which are virtual). Our current meeting schedule is every other second Thursday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
