The Friends of St. Charles Public Library commissioned two local artists to create a mural on the outside walls of the Library's terrace garden. Local artists Danielle Casali and Sam DeCarlo designed a mural that follows the theme of the terrace garden. Native plants and pollinators commonly seen in the Midwest are featured. A mosaic moth and butterflies adorn the painted walls, offering an exciting and enriching space. A dedication ceremony was held upon completion, where patrons and guests could view the beautiful, vibrant design (as well as tribute plaques with names of loved ones).
