Oakton College’s 2026 remodel transformed a traditional library into a one-stop-shop for studying, collaborating, support services, and community.
This is truly a space for more than just books—it’s a place to get IT help, study with a tutor, find support for first-generation students, explore archives, and so much more. With focus pods, a sensory room, meditation space, and serene seating (complete with a fireplace!) spread throughout, it’s also a space where students can just be.
The Learning Commons is a powerful example of how campus-wide collaboration can create meaningful student experiences.
