Duties:
The Business Librarian assists customers who want to grow or start a business. This position is responsible for developing and coordinating business-related programs, including seminars, roundtables, and guest speakers. The Business Librarian is responsible for providing specialized business reference assistance to individuals and training staff to use business-related resources. Regularly assists customers at public service desks with general information, reference questions, and helps customers use library technology and personal electronic devices. The position regularly includes “Librarian in Charge” status of the library, mostly during evening and weekend shifts.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Business Administration and/or a Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited institution or any equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, an excellent communicator, and have a strong commitment to public service. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
