Job Summary

This MLS position is responsible to assist patrons in locating and using materials/information; provide information, reference and programmatic services for assigned program area; and implement and/or maintain library resources and services. The work is performed under the direction of the Library Director.

Schedule:

  • Monday: 9:00am - 6:00pm
  • Wednesday: 11:00am - 8:00pm
  • Thursday: 9:00am - 6:00pm
  • Saturday: 9:00am - 5:00pm (Every Other)

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Library Science

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years library experience
  • Proficiency in Spanish language skills
  • Experience managing social media platforms

Please note that this position may also be filled at a lower paygrade (~$19.19 per hour) by a chosen candidate without an MLS degree, rather a bachelors degree and on track to obtain an MLS.

Salary & Benefits

The position is a part time, exempt position. The pay rate equivalency is $24.94 per hour and includes an IMRF pension, choice of two (2) optional employee paid vision insurance plans, and prorated holiday, vacation, and sick time.
